FOR BIG CHALLENGES

MITU was chosen by KAPL, a public sector unit to conduct menstrual hygiene sessions in all Government schools in the districts of Chitradurga and Yadgir. These sessions were conducted over a period of three years from 2014 and covered 200 schools reaching out to over 10000 girls

MITU conducted a medical checkup camp along with distribution of hygiene kits to 250 women from villages surrounding Sulikunte in Doddaballapura taluk Bangalore Rural District. Awareness sessions were conducted for around 500 women and girls in these villages.

MITU conducted conversational English classes for Housekeeping and security staff of Allegis in three of their Bangalore branches.Many of them gained poise and self confidence . Two persons were placed as data entry operators.

With the help of Sukhibhava, MITU won Goldman Sachs 2018 India Impact Fund. This fund was used for intensive awareness sessions about menstruation among various slums communities. MITU has been a long time partner with them for implementing and carrying out various menstrual hygiene activities

MITU conducted awareness sessions on general personal hygiene for both boys and girls from ten selected rural PUC colleges in Chittoor District. It also carried out MHM sessions separately with the girls. A survey was conducted and a follow up was done to assess the impact of these awareness sessions.

Inner Wheel Clubs of Bangalore, Lioness Clubs, Ladies Circle and other such service organisations have been sponsoring awareness sessions and pad distribution campaigns in various schools and institutions in Bangalore.
